Liquor “Locator” iPhone App on the way
Proximo Spirits, the makers of brands like Three Olives Vodka and 1800 Tequila, has launched an online bar and liquor store “locator.”
Designed to provide an easy means of finding, “your favorite Proximo brand,” site visitors enter a zip code, address or city and are provided with a map showing locations (both bars and restaurants as well as stores) serving/selling whatever brand of booze they are on the hunt for.
“This tool is a true consumer innovation, allowing Proximo fans to quickly and easily seek out our brands,” said Elwyn Gladstone, Head of Marketing for Proximo, Inc. “Whether they are searching from their home computer to find a retailer that sells their favorite flavor, or are out on the town looking for a fun bar or restaurant serving their favorite cocktails, our locator guarantees a quality establishment.”

Proximo says it is currently in the development and testing stages on an iPhone application for techies to locate their favorite brands on the go. When it becomes available the company says it can be downloaded from the Proximo Web sites.
I have to say there isn’t a brand out there I care about enough to download and carry mapping software for. Does this sound like anything you’d use?
