Election day parties happening at local bars

Staff writer Katie Wedell compiled three election day/night parties happening Tuesday, Nov. 4, at a several bars in and around town:

Therapy Cafe (452 E. Third St., Dayton) is offering up “Four Flavors for One Nation”; on election night with four DJs and four great drink specials starting at 8 p.m. Dance to reggae, hip-hop and salsa while downing $2 domestics, $3 imports, $5 Grey Goose and Hennessy drinks, and $5 Obama-tinis. Plus join in a champagne toast (if and) when the presidential results are announced. The best part? No cover.

Election Night Party at Aquarius (135 E. Second St., Dayton) will have DJ Rob Austin on hand host an election night version of the weekly TNT: Talent Night Tuesdays beginning at 8 p.m. Sing your heart out for your favorite candidate on the karaoke stage. Level two will be open for college night with no cover. $2 cover charge, or free with college ID.

J.D. Legends (65 Millard Drive, Franklin) is leaving this election up to your taste buds. The bar has created an Obama drink and a McCain drink (both have a non alcoholic version so everyone can participate). They’re keeping a tally of how many people order each drink from Sept. 15 through election night on Tuesday, Nov. 4. So after you vote at the real polls, you can head to the bar and “vote” as many times as you want. P.S., last time we checked the tally on J.D. Legends’ Web site, McCain was winning.

If you know of others share ‘em here …

Masque is having something - they’re showing the election results on their plasma screens. That’s where I’m headed!
