Happy International Delete Your MySpace Page Day

This according to a post on truemors.com: “A blogger frustrated by glitches, invitations from meth-faced girls with webcams, and bedazzled pages resembling a Liberace disaster has declared January 30 “ International Delete Your MySpace Page Day. The cause has garnered support from a Facebook group, where an intense debate has MySpacers squaring off against Facebook fiends. MySpace has even taken notice, without showing so much as a tremble, saying, “This Delete-Your-MySpace day is just about being controversial. MySpace is still the world’s biggest social networking site.” The News Corp owned site has a reputation for facing controversy with a smirk, probably because they refuse to disclose the number of actual active users.”

Will anyone out there be killing off a MySpace account to celebrate the day?

Darn it. I hate it when I find out about things the day after. It would have been more fun to ignore this if I knew about it first. Oh, well. There’s always next year to not delete my MySpace page.
