World Whisky of the Year
Yes, there really is such an award and it’s been handed out by Whisky Bible 2008 author Jim Murray who writes it’s “the most complex malt on Earth.” The award and bragging rights (if an award from Whisky Bible 2008 would lead to such a thing) were snagged by Ardbeg — a single malt Scotch Whiskey produced on the island of Islay.
