Beer pong!

Quarters are so yesteryear … the new game in town is beer pong (it’s not really new cuz I was playing it when I was in college, but it’s still newer than quarters). It operates on the same principle … it’s completely unhygienic with the ultimate goal of getting a filthy object in a glass of beer and then having an opponent drink said glass. So why am I bringing this up? I was at a gas station near UD recently and they had a plastic jug filled with ping pong balls specifically with beer pong in mind. Now that my friends is a fine example of selling to your customer …

The Webtender has a page of drinking games categorized by type and buzz level if you’re looking for something to do the next time you get together with your old college buddies (for nostalgia purposes only). And speaking of, what were your favorite drinking games back in the day? Quarters is an acceptable answer.

Wine & Dine: More local restaurants are offering wine tasting/dinner pairings [review]

Wine glasses

Some are searching for new customers. Others are looking for a test market for new appetizers or entrees. Others want customer feedback on which new wines to add to the wine list. Whatever their reasons, more restaurants in the Dayton area are using wine tastings and wine dinners to try to get new, fresh faces to cross their doorsteps. A decade ago, diners could easily count on one hand the number of restaurants that held regular wine events. Now, the number exceeds a dozen and is growing. More »
