I’ll eat almost anything. Um, almost…
But I’m not sure I’m ready to try corn fungus…
I like mushrooms, and I like Mexican food, and I’ll eat just about anything. But, um, I’m just … well, not so much.
I’ve read and heard about this before, but haven’t ever run across a story that makes it sound this appetizing… Trust NPR to keep an open mind. And gullet, apparently.
Anybody tried it?

I’ve had corn fungus in Mexico City. It was nothing to write home about. I much preferred other ingredients on my quesadillas. But I cannot fathom why, if you’re willing to eat mushrooms (and there are some pretty scary looking mushrooms) you’d be put off by corn fungus. It’s pretty benign.By Kim
