Free, cheap Valentine crafts at Michaels

Looking for a way to get the kids (or yourself) in the Valentine frame of mind?

Michaels has the answer. Tomorrow (Saturday, Jan. 30) they are offering a family event to make heart shaped frames from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. You have to purchase the frame (and of course provide your own photo to go in it) which is $1 in the US and $1.50 in Canada but it’s a cheap fun way to make a Valentine for someone special!

Coming up on Saturday, Feb. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. they will have a free make-it-and-take-it to make Valentine’s cards and decorate a purchased box ($4.99). Michaels will provide the decorating supplies. Also on Feb. 6, starting at 2 p.m., they will have a free Wilton Valentine’s Day cookie decorating demonstration until 4 p.m.

On Tuesday, Feb. 9 from 6-8 p.m. with the purchase of a 79 ¢s; pink gift bag you can decorate a treat bag/Valentine box.

And finally on Saturday, Feb. 13 from 10 a.m. -1 p.m. (just in time for V-Day!) they’ll have another photo frame decorating session with the purchase of the $1 frame.

What’s your favorite love song?

With Valentine’s Day less than a month away and wedding season upon us, it’s time to ask… What’s your favorite love song?

Is yours a classic that your parents might have loved as well, something a little more current or something totally offbeat and unexpected?

My personal favorite is “Can’t Help Falling In Love With You” by Elvis. It’s got a timeless quality that I’ve not found in any other love song.

So what’s yours?
