Rescue-Dog-A-Rama

This weekend marks the first time for the Rescue-Dog-a-Rama, on Nov. 15-16 at Hara Arena in Trotwood, and sponsored by One More Chance Rescue and Adoption. There will be 50-75 dog and puppy rescue organizations making hundreds of wonderful rescue dogs and puppies available for adoption. Their mission is “no dog or puppy left behind.” There will be vendors, a dog house building contest with dog houses decorated by children from The Children’s Medical Center of Dayton — the dog houses will be auctioned on Sunday. The times are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 15 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 16. Admission is $5; kids younger than 12 get in free.

When is the auction ? I don’t see a posted time for the auction anywhere.

With the economy spiraling seemingly out of control, many people would do anything for a little treasure. On Saturday, Jan. 10, the Centerville-Washington Park District is attempting to give parkgoers just that. Grant Park, 501 Normandy Ridge Road in Centerville, is hosting an event called Cabin Fever Cache, offering a reason to get into the great outdoors despite cold temperatures.
