Listen- All the Cleveland fans down here are saying Lee is this and Lee is that. I give props where props are due. I think that he is doing great! But he is overacheiving right now. There is nothing wrong with that as long as everyone knows that he is going to get knocked down to planet Earth very soon. I said that is was overrated because I have had people here in dayton saying crap like he is an Ace and he is Cy Young, 20 game winner. I’m just not buying into yet is all.

How can you say Cliff Lee is overrated. Great thing about the game of baseball is that they keep statistics. This years statistics thus far puts Cliff Lee as the best pitcher in the American League. 1st in Wins (6)-should have 7 but got a no decision—-1st in ERA .67 1st in Winning Percentage 100%—-1st in WHIP .67—-3rd in Complete Games (1)—-9th in SO (44)—-53 innings pitched and only 4 walks Your job as a pitcher is to throw strikes and let the defense do its job. OVERRATED? NO WAY!

Indians. Both teams are playing a lot better recently, but I think Tribe takes 2 out of 3;

Belisle NOT pitching certainly gives ME hope. At least the Red’s will send a bonafide pitcher out there, not a proven flop. But give ‘em time…this organization seems to have a propensity for ruining pitching talent. Time will tell. Reds vs. Indians — why ask? The Indians are first in the 5-team AL Central; Reds are LAST in the 6-team NL Central. My money is on the Indians but my gizzard is on the Reds. But, Imagine how it COULDA been, game 1 w/Belisle starting & Lincoln to close!

Jeff,

Lee only gets national attention because his ERA is under 0.70. I agree Harang is underrated. He’s a good pitcher. Lee, is getting all the attention he deserves at this time, and until he starts pitching poorly, he’s not overrated. I just don’t think Cincinnati is good enough to win the series against the Indians. But we’ll see. GABP is definitley a hitters park, and that’s something the Indians have struggled with. So we’ll see.

REDS WILL TAKE THE SERIES. With Volquez pitching I think the Tribe will have a very hard time hitting on him, as well as Harang. Harang is very underrated and soon enough the Indians are going to see this. I am also very impressed with the way Hairston Jr. is playing, seems like he might be a little bit of a threat….

If the Indians are as good as you say they are, then they better sweep the REDS!

I think that Lee was hurt most of last year, but the two years before that his ERA averaged what around 4. something? That is good, but he is not the kind of pitcher that he is right now. Would you agree that Harang is underrated? At least Lee gets National attention. Harang can hardly get crap! I don’t have a problem with the Indians. I have a problem with you thinking they are better than they really are. They just started playing good ball the last few weeks.

Jeff,

Can you explain to me how Lee is overrated? He has given up 1 run all year long. I don’t care who you’re facing that is not overrated. Not to mention he has gotten very little run support. Come on you must be smoking something. I understand you are a die hard Reds fan, but quit lying to yourself. Lee is not overrated, and the Indians will win the series.

Walt- There will be no Indians sweep. You sound awfuly sure of your self when you have yet to face Harang and Volquez.

Let’s not get personal; this is just a post. I can’t even say the word “Hillary” without vomiting in my mouth a little.

Lee is overrated and you will get to meet Edinson Volquez and his Changeup soon enough.

Here’s to a great series!

Reds? Are you kidding me? They are one of the worst teams in baseball. The Indians have the best pitching in the American League. I think the Reds will be lucky to win one game. I am glad the Tribe is playing in Cincinnati this weekend. The Reds are the perfect antedote for an anemic offense. GO TRIBE!!!!

I think that Cliff Lee will have to pitch a perfect game against Volquez. Reds Win

Harang = Reds win

If Cueto can keep us in the game long enough, we can score 8 runs on Sowers in the first 4 innings. Reds Win

Looks like a sweep! I think these will all be low scoring games except for tonight. I think it will come down to the bullpen in the 8th and 9th. Hopefully with yesterdays rainout, ours can be full strength!

Indians have the hottest pitching in baseball. I foresee a sweep.

Reds, hands down, nothing good ever comes from the mistake on the lake.
