Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull?

I have to admit, I thought the title was a joke at first because 1) It was revealed by Shia LaBeouf, who swore up and down he wasn’t in the film and lo and behold he was; and 2) It was said during the MTV Video Music Awards, which are to news what the National Enquirer is to fact-checkers.
Still, it looks like the genuine article, cos there ‘tis, right there on the official site. And it isn’t even April 1.
So what do you guys think? Yay, nay or meh?
Personally, I’m kinda meh on the title. It has that sort of Phantom Menace/Attack of the Clones silliness to it, but on the other hand, this title is no sillier than Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
Is it?
Course, we could all just wait for the actual MOVIE to come out and then cast our judgment. It’s due May 22.
But tell me … how excited are you for the movie? I’m cautiously optimistic.

I think the second film should be called Indiana Jones and the Chilled Monkey Brains. As a child, that was what stuck out the most for me.By Kim

Allie - I was thinking the same thing about the rep of these films, but a BIG difference here is the casting of Ford - he has his own rep to uphold as well. And I trust Speilberg a bit more than Lucas. :) George is brilliant - but his dialog isn’t! And Cali - you need to watch the earlier movies! They are great fun!By Cali

Eh, I’m not super excited about the movie…I’ve never seen any of the India Jones movies, so maybe that’s why. But I do think Shia is a great actor, so I’m excited to see what he will bring to the film. Other than that, I love the ride at Disneyland : )By Kevin S.

I have to agree that the name is appropriate. The Indiana Jones movies are tributes to cheesy pulp fiction and movie serials, after all. They probably should have left out the kingdom and just called it “Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull” though.By Allie D.

I think Kim is right in that it fits. I do think it’s a little bit of a mouthful though. That being said, I am looking forward to the film. It is my hope that they wouldn’t have risked the reputation of this film series by making something subpar… But then Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones were made… So maybe that should make me cautious as well…By Kim

Nah - it’s no sillier than Temple of Doom. Indy movies are like a comic strip - so it fits. I am excited to see it! I’m trying not to get my hopes up, but I LOVE Harrison and I am really looking forward to seeing this. I have always enjoyed Shia too, and I’m glad to see he is in this. He has such terrific comic timing - it’s going to be a long wait! sigh…
