Chad: A promise to kiss Cowboys star
CHAD GOES OFF THE DEEP END
WITH HIS WILD ‘KISS THE STAR’
PREDICTION AT TEXAS STADIUM
WILL IT BE A SIGN OF DISRESPECT
OR HIS LOVE FOR THE COWBOYS?
Of all of Chad Ocho Cinco’s zany antics over the years, this one could very well be the craziest.
The Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver is promising to kiss the Cowboys star on the field at Texas Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 5 — not “if” he scores, but “when” he scores.
This exchange between Chad and the Dallas Cowboys media in Wednesday’s conference call comes courtesy of the Dallas Morning News and ESPN.com:
Let-er-rip, Chadly …
Chad: I’ve got so much respect for y’all, if I score Sunday, I love Dallas so much, I’m going to take my helmet off, get a fine and kiss the star.
Q: The one at midfield?
Chad: Midfield? That’s a long (expletive) jog.
Q: What do you mean ‘if?’
Chad: OK, when I score, I’m going to take my helmet off and kiss the star. Can I do that?
Q: Why not?
Chad: That’s not a sign of disrespect. That’s a good thing isn’t it?
IN CHAD’S WORDS:
“Get up, get your pen, get your records, get everything you need to get, because I’m letting it rip. I’m not holding nothin’ back. We 0-4. We pissed off. I’m pissed off. The players over here are pissed off. Somebody’s got to pay.
“I want you to tell (defensive coordinator) Brian Stewart that I love him to death, but somebody’s got to get it.
“Man, we are going to throw everything, including the kitchen sink, out there in Dallas. I’m bringing the cold tub, the hot tub, I’m bringing the training room. What else can we do?”

You have got to be kidding me. Ocho Stinko has not seen the endzone all season and he is spouting off about what he will do “when” he scores a touchdown against Dallas. Please get rid of the whole bunch of them, Carson and his Trojans, (by the way no comment after the Oregon State game huh CP), Chad and his gold teeth, Mike Brown and his inheritance. All of you just shut up and worry about winning a game rather than all of this “notice me” crap!By Bass*

Buckeye in NC Chad scored a TD last Sunday. While I don’t think things are rosey in Bengal land I do like the attitude at the end of the article. It shows me that there is some fight left in Chad and I would like to see that translate to the field. I would much rather here him talk this way then the stuff from last year.By Mike Davidson

“…What else can we do?” Well, keep Chad home. He is another distraction to keep this season going. Perhaps he’ll draw a penalty, and help keep the Bengals on line for the first draft pick next year.By Simon

If Marvin Lewis wants to do anything of value before he is fired (coming soon), he needs to: 1) DEACTIVATE Chad Johnson for the week against Dallas. The team will NOT miss his production anyway. 2) Cut Chris Henry to make a statement to “redeemer” Mike Brown 3) Insert the 2008 draft class into the lineup/rotations - including our 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 6th rounders that have yet to see the field. 4) Play the guys that want to be here, meaning sit the offenders on the O-Line that are the root of this teams problems. 5) Fire the stale, unimaginative, predictable Offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski - we’d be better off with Madden 09 for 360 for the rest of the yearBy Jeff

Seems the B.E.N.G.A.L.S. decided they don’t have enough criminals on there sad, pathetic loser of a team so they JUST HAD to have 1 more. C.Benson may improve the sorry back field. But it won’t help the Bung-holes at all. T.J. & Carson need to do themselve’s a favor and DEMAND a trade. Theses are the ONLY 2 respectable players this team has. The rest of ‘em are just like the LOSERS that live in that soory state of OH.By WTF

Well you say that Carson and T.J. are the only two respectable players? How many times has Chad been arrested? My point exactly! He is not the reason the Bengals are losing, at least he has some fight left in him, because he could just be a sorry BlTCH like you and stay home and dog on teams that you probably couldn’t even be the water boy for. If you are not a sports fan, then leave the blogs for those who are!By Matt

Granted Chad’s production has been dismal this year, I still like the attitude. The players all should be pissed, and i like that someone is saying it. It needs to be said, and the coaching staff neeeds to be completely revamped. Actually the whole organization needs to be. Mike Brown needs to step down or hire a GM to run the team, because he obviously cant. His draft picks are chronically terrible, and he can’t judge talent at all. He needs to get a clue and step down immediately. And it is going to be hard for carson to demand a trade seeing how is still under contract. And what are you doing on this website if your just going to trash Ohio… get a lifeBy Robert

I find it very mature of yourself to put down the ppl in Ohio State. It is one thing to bash a football team, but to trash the ppl in it? Wow. Are you that hard on yourself that you are going to go back to highschool ways? Diss the others so you don’t feel bad about yourself? You are obviously bored. Give me a break! as for johnson? yes, i am liking his attitude. He knows they need to step it up. Can’t go w/ our heads down all the time. That is what really makes us a losing team. It’s not the losing, it is the attitudes! Come on guys and get it together! As for the beautiful state of Ohio, I am pleased and blessed to be living here! Go OSU!!!By to OSU sux

I am so sick of all this.. must be easier to be a cowboys fan since they aren’t going thru the losing seasons like the bengals are. i appreciate the fans who still back up the losing teams. stay on that band waggon! yes, we may get slaughtered on sunday, but i have a high respect for those still watchin w/ the hope we won’t be. We did take NY in over time, which actually were the champions last year… I don’t remember dallas being there… Maybe we can still give them a good game. Patriots went undefeated until the superbowl. Funny how things can happen :) BTW… GO REDSKINS!!! Very nice victory!By Doco

Ha ha! Made me laugh. What a fool! But he doesn’t seem to play well when he’s quiet, so f—- it. I think that’s what he’s saying. F—- it! “Somebody’s got to pay.” Can’t say he doesn’t have passion. I’d rather they play loose and aggressive than timid and scared.By boxter

Lance Moore. Steve Breaston. Arnaz Battle. Hank Baskett. You know who these guys are? They are 4 receivers that have more receiving yards than Ocho Retard but never talk smack. You know why? Because they don’t do anything to deserve attention. I’m so sick of hearing his mouth. It was funny when we were 11-3. It was kinda humorous when we at least competed in the North. Now it’s just ignorant. You don’t even have 150 yards receiving!!! SHUT UP!!! He is one of many, many reasons why I find myself gravitating towards another favorite team.By Howie Feltersnatch

I don’t understand what is so bad about what he said. He is just trying to have fun on an 0-4 team that has no heart or intensity. Lets have some fun and play football maybe we will win. Chad isn’t the only problem. You can only catch what is thrown to you and there haven’t been very man, so how do you expect him to have that many yards. Lets blame the team for being 0-4 and not just Chad. So what he talks a little bit, I bet you all talk trash to your friends when you are playing something. Whats the difference so there is a camera around. Get off his back, you don’t like it don’t watch or read about it. If you don’t read it the reporters won’t report it. Go Bengals Who Dey!!!By randy

I think all of you Chad “bashers” need to get a life. Muhammud Ali talked more shyt then any other athlete in the history of any sport and he’s regarded as a sports icon. Chad is just having fun and trying to make a meaningless game somewhat interesting. His profession is one where he runs and catch a ball…he doesn’t sit behind a desk hating life. Let the dude have some fun!!!! And as a fan of another losing team, its refreshing to see that type of animation from a player. GO DOLPHINS!!!By DaytonBen-Gal

I personally see no harm in Chad or his antics. I generally find it amusing. Unfortunately most of the time the Bengals aren’t giving the audience must to watch, so you might as well have Ocho out there doing his stunts. Gotta make the price of the ticket worth while somehow. Obviously Chad keeping quite isn’t doing anything, so if his silly stunts and predictions livens up that locker room and lights a fire under that team’s butt, then bring it! They’re 0-4 right now, so it certainly isn’t going to hurt if Ocho runs his mouth. Do I believe they stand a snowball’s chance in Dallas on Sunday? No, but then again…”miracles” do happen. Just ask the Giants. At any rate, I will remain faithful to my losing team and say, Go Bengals!By Steeler-Nation

I’m reading this article and for the sole purpose that T.J. is on my fantasy team and my opponent have three guys and dallas defense starting, I’m pulling hard for the bengals to play loose and aggressive. At times Chad can be over the top but he is not the reason that the bengals are losing. The offensive line is terrible and IF Chris Henry can play to the level he did a few years back and Chris Perry can work between the tackles then they can be like the Broncos! An explosive offense with a terrible defense! LOL GO Steelers!By Steeler-Nation

Just wanted to say thank you to the folks sticking up for the Bengals. It’s been a while since I have seen that on here. Chad’s energy is great to see. The Bengals clearly have the talent. They’re just missing heart. Even if the coach isn’t getting his team properly inspired, at least Chad is trying. So, thanks to Chad also. Good luck Bengals!By Cody
