Reporter says she wasn’t concerned about NFL players’ behavior

Mexican television sports reporter Ines Sainz told “Good Morning America” co-host George Stephanopoulos Tuesday that she didn’t think cat calling, taunting and other harassing actions by New York Jets players and coaches during a practice Saturday was a big deal at the time.

“I didn’t feel like I was in danger,” she said. “I wasn’t concern.”

That said, there has been a surprising amount of backlash against Sainz and her cleavage.

While she was named one of the “Five Sexiest Sports Reporters in the World” by FHM and has been known for her risque outfits, the 32-year-old has defended the outfit she wore to the practice - a pair jeans and a white button down -, saying it was far from “inappropriate” and many women wear similar looks.

Sainz, who didn’t make the sexual harassment claim, may not have been offended, but others are.

At the urging of the Association for Women in Sports Media and others, the NFL is investigating sexual harassment claims.

New York Jets owner Woody Johnson has apologized to Sainz for his team’s antics.

Ines Sainz also appeared Tuesday on the NBC’s “Today” show.

Those guys are crazy if they think she is hot. I’ve seen better looking weather reporters. She should thank them and give em’ a buck each.

Men don’t have to act like overgrown 7th graders, they choose to. Whether or not this woman is pretty isn’t the point. And her statement that she wasn’t in danger is foolish. Why is that kind of behavior from men ok as long as the woman isn’t “in danger”? She should dress approrpiately because of the respect she has for herself, not because the “boys” will get out of control. They should already know how to act, regardless of what she has on.

Her jeans were tight and her shape was more then sexy. If she came into my locker room I would have shown her what I thought by pitching a tent in her honor.

She’s just fishing for a rich ball player. She’s the one who looks like a Vegas Call Girl. I say bar all women from men’s locker rooms!

Does anyone find it ironic that women are allowed in men’s locker against their wishes yet a woman screams sexual harassment when someone says something to them while they’re naked? lol Ridiculous. Kick all women out of men’s locker rooms. They don’t belong there to begin with…

Fame Whore, nothin’ more. She may have a “hot” body, but she is butt ugly. And no apologies should be given. She went into their locker room, where I am sure the players were in various stages of un-dress. If anything she should be apologizing to them. Are men reporters allowed into womens locker rooms? If so, I volunteer to cover Womens Beach Volleyball and the Lingerie Bowl. And they can make all the cat-calls they want.
