I don’t really know much about Miley, but I was curious about the “Can’t Be Tamed” video, so I watched it. I didn’t see anything ‘dirty’ about dancing and singing with big bird wings strapped on. I like big birds and looked at it more as an attempt to find shelter in those wings…shelter from those critics out to pull her down (maybe).

That comment should bring child protective services to his door. The video should be enough to get her taken away. If the kid is a tramp, slut, then yes, that is what kids do.Oh,yea, that is how he raised her. Just look at her pics. I can’t beleive he is that out of touch. Okay, first off, she never pole danced at the awards show. She was holding on to the pole so she didn’t fall off the prop, but never danced on it. If she did “grind” on a gay guy, then that’s between her, her parents, and the gay guy. Not the rest of America. The girl is a teenager and hey, they learn lessons from their mistakes. She was probably trying be funny, and people took it out of control. There are worse things happening on the streets then this. And she sure is not any worse then some of the prom pictures that are posted on this webpage.

Just goes to show you what the LOVE of MOney can do, it is like Drugs, you have all seen or known someone who has dabbled in drugs a little, and before you know it their selling their posessions, stealling, and recently a Mother was busted selling her Daughter for drug money,, its the same with Money, the Bible never says money is evil, it says( THE LOVE OF MONEY IS EVIL) I hope Billy Ray & family can break the addiction, before its to late, just look at Brittnay, she started out sweet & innocent, & talented, untill the ADdiction.

Billy Ray’s being a hillbilly has nothing to do with his daughter’s behavior. The breadth and depth of social, ethnic, and racial stereotyping and hatred dislayed on most of the DDN’s comment pages never ceases to amaze me. I’m 1/2 hillbilly and an excellen parent, thank you.

It’s America thatis making Miley what she is. She talks thru her nose,her mouth is disgusting and she can’t sing. And she surely isn’t sexy by a long shot. But everyone idolizes her. So, no matter what she does everyone will dog her out and still put her on a pedestal at the same time. Any teen lap dancing on a grown man (gay or not)should not be idolized. And her parents are just preparing Noah for the same. Being a hillbilly is nothing, it’s a money thing.

Most of these comments are laughable at best. I don’t know anything about Billy Ray’s parenting skills, as a matter of fact neither do any of you. But before you throw rocks at the way he raised his daughter stop by your daughter’s senior prom, all the grinding going on there, unlike Miley’s episode with the judge, is not intended to get a laugh.

I agree with middsteve who commented on 5/14. Miley Cyrus is still under age…we/her parents tend to forget that. Billy Ray needs to ground that child and bring her back to center. It is NOT ok for a 17yr old to “grind” on another 17yr old or a 40something year old! Where are the morals?

Well, yes, Billy Ray, if you want your child to grow up to to be a porn star, then yes that’s what parents allow their kids to do. Miley is an exhibitionist and the media is there to record her every riduculous move and we are here to comment. Then some low-life porn fantasy driven guy grabs an innocent young girl and rapes her and we can’t understand why.

First I resent the remark about hillbilly’s because I happen to be one and I’m proud of it.My parents raised me with morals and high standards and would have tanned my hide should I have even thought about doing something like that. However I won’t judge Billy Rays parenting style. I do think he should have a serious talk with her but everything the girl does is up for ridicule by someone no matter whether she’s lap dancing or holding a charity function. I will say this for Billy Ray he is one of the nicest people you would ever get a chance to meet. I know this because I had Aunt who absolutely loved him and was in a nursing home. Her children wrote him and told him about it and he came and visited her at the nursing home. Of course it could have helped that they are sort of from the same neck of the woods as my Aunt lived in Ironton, Ohio.

WOW. cant believe he is backing her up. now most of the time i would say people are just picking at her but this is over the top. it might have been different if it wasnt so detailed. she made it like she was getting paid to entertain his guy, if you get my drift. if it wasnt such a dramatic dance then i could understand. idk what to think, i hate to say she is turning into lohan or spears but if this is her life at 17 i cant even begin to think how bad she will get when she is 18 or even worse, 21!!

Is lap dancing what teens do? That depends. Were they raised by parents with a sense of self-respect and manners? Then no, they don’t. Were they raise by money-grubbing parents who have no sense of propriety and don’t seem to mind if their teenage daughter acts like a hooker as long as it makes them money? Then yes, they probably do. You don’t have to tell your teenagers not to dance like animals in heat. If you raised them properly, they’d be appalled at the very idea of acting like a “Girls Gone Wild” reject in public.

Early on in Miley’s career, I thought he father was doing a good job of parenting and managing at the same time. But as Miley has gotten older and all the bad influences out there have ruined her image and probably will ruin her life. Unfortunately to many people see her activities as cute and funny for a young girl her age. Guess we have to wait and see who the next role model will be.
