“We ask for consideration and respect for our family as we go through this difficult period,” the couple said in a statement.

The pair exchanged wedding vows in 2003. Tammy Etheridge, formerly Tammy Lynn Michaels, gave birth to their children three years later.

Melissa Etheridge has had hits with “Come To My Window,” “I Want To Come Over” and “I’m the Only One.”

Agent&daytonian: judge not and ye shall not be judged, condemn not and ye shall not be condemned

@jane By offering that statement have you not judged that they are in need of what you consider to be sage advice? Oh, the irony.

Some of these neanderthal comments serve to remind us all how public education is lacking, that we have idiots who vote. Don’t be ashamed people. Get an education! In the future, you might have something intelligent to say. (For clarification, i.e. in case you have figured it out that applies to zilla, pgriffin, Bob, agent, and Daytonian.)

Education has nothing to do with it. An abomination is an abomination. If you don’t like it, argue with God. It’s his word

Excellent musicians & talent. The problem I have with gays OR heterosexuals is when they flaunt thier sexuality. These two didn’t. I’m there for the music/talent…not an education of their preferred lifestyle.

None of our business. I just feel bad for the kids who now have to deal with a custody issue and all the crap that goes with parents who made a commitment and couldn’t keep it.

Who cares? why is this considered news?

Why is this news Maduro? Because gays and minorities are privy to special rights that supersede the rights of caucasian Americans. We must pucker up and kiss the behinds of these individuals lest we offend their delicate feelings. And yes, some idiot will call me racist. I’m not white by the way, please refer to me as a caucasian American. And those who feel compelled, tell me all about how oppressed you are, cause I REALLY care.

@country boy…why do you think it’s up to you to decide what’s an abomination?…you’renot God. I feel sorry for all the ignorant people quick to pass judgment on those who don’t live like you or me. People that are homophobic aren’t secure enough with their sexuality to accept the fact that people can be different and that’s ok.

Obviously something is wrong here. Tammy did not give birth to THEIR children, not unless she made medical/biological history. The pieces don’t fit. Somebody is lying. Think about it.

@bob…if a husband & wife adopt a child, does that mean they aren’t parents to the child just because the wife didn’t give birth or they didn’t conceive the child together?

Excellent study, I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing just a little research on that. And he really bought me lunch simply because I discovered it for him smile So let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch!
