Reports: still-married John Edwards asks for mistress’ hand in marriage

Seriously people, why is John Edwards allegedly so horrible?

The former presidential candidate has asked his mistress to marry him, according to The National Enquirer, a tabloid that has had Edward’s number the whole time.

The still-married 56-year-old popped the big question to Rielle Hunter before finally confessing to he world last month that he did in fact father Hunter’s daughter.

Edwards is now legally separated from his cancer stricken wife of 32-years Elizabeth Edwards.

Oh but Hunter has suffered too. (Wink, wink)

“John knew Rielle had been waiting for a proposal for two long years. Since they’ve gotten involved, she’s followed every order he gave her, going on a cross-country cover-up, hiding away during her pregnancy and after giving birth for the sake of his presidential aspirations,” a Enquirer source said.

Poor Rielle… yeah right.

What do you think?

Well, on a positive note, assuming it’s true, I think this means he’s out of politics. On the other hand, Ted Kennedy kept getting elected, so maybe not.

They are both the same. This is what happens when you forget God. I’m not their judge, but you can definitely judge the fruit. The whole thing is sleazy. He’s delusional and has been blinded by his own sin so that he can’t see clearly. His legal wife is better off w/o him. I wish her the best.

I feel most sorry for Elizabeth. To be sick and have to deal with this publicly is unfair. But I remember when they first hit the national scene. Their body language wasn’t very loving toward each other. And if I were Rielle, I wouldn’t want him now on a silver platter.

He bought a house for Rielle in Charlotte, NC; it cost about $585,000. He said it was for Frances Quinn, his daughter, to live in. Can’t fool me. It’s for them to live in. How he could do this to Elizabeth and his other children is so sad. Instead of thinking with his brain, he’s thinking with another body part. That’s all it is. One day he will regret all the people he has hurt and all the lies he has told.

I don’t know why she wants him (other than the money). If he cheated on Elizabeth, he’ll cheat on her….but then again that probably doesn’t matter to her.

And life goes on!!! It is sad for his wife and children, but it happens every day, just because he is a public figure we keep talking about it. may god bless Elizabeth and the children!

Rielle is only marrying him for the money. Even after Elizabeth gets half in the settlement it’s more money than Rielle’s documentaries have ever made. I’m sure she’ll let John have a trailer park princess or two on the side.

Any women who fools around with a married man is just as much a slimeball as he is. They both owe his wife a huge apology.

Abrahm did the exact same thing. And what did God tell him to do? Leave the handmaiden, move her far away, reunite with your family. Her child will suffer for thier sins. But the wife and family should not be the ones to go. Shame on Edwards. Does he want to leave the new one? No, does he love her and her baby? Yes, but he must be the one to do what God says. It is a lifetime of hurt, but eternity for hell

Ha ha. Alpha omega Edwards is a skank, but you are nuts. He fathered that child and he should take care of it. It shouldn’t have to suffer for its parent’s sins. This story is sad, but Elizabeth will be better off without him. Let the ‘handmaiden’ have his nasty behind.

What a dirtbag! Whats worse is the liberals still have the gall to throw rocks at republicans like Sarah Palin. In a decency contest, the mean spirited libs are totally unarmed. Oh well, I guess someone has to carry on the Kennedy tradition.

Everybody keep talking about John Edward, the woman knew he was married and she got pregnant on purpose she is old enough to know better 40 something. They are in the same boat together. His wife was silly to go along with it.

John Edwards has disgraced himself and his family, and definitely will cheat on this one too, so look out Raelle. To quote our previous president, “fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, won’t get fooled again!” As for Sarah Palin, she is an empty vessel with no depth or intellectual curiosity, just waiting to be told what to think. We endured 8 years of a similar personality in the White House, so let’s not “get fooled again”.
