Is Jay Leno replacing Conan O’Brien?
Conan O’Brien’s spin in NBC’s 11:30 p.m. time slot might be running out.
According toTMZ and other Internet sites, NBC will return Leno to the 11:30 p.m. spot.
According to the “New York Times” NBC’s affiliated stations are ticked that the “Jay Leno Show” at 10 p.m. hasn’t been a better lead for 11 p.m. news broadcasts.
Still network executives are denying rumors that they plan to cancel Leno’s show.
They however are not denying TMZ’s claims that Jay might get his old “Tonight Show” gig back, the Times said.
The switch may be made at the end of next month’s Winter Olympics.
Who among us didn’t see this one coming? Switching Leno to 10 p.m. was a pretty dumb idea in the first place. Poor, rich-rich Conan.
What do you think? Which team are you on - Team Jay or Team Conan?

NBC messed up themselves. They should have kept things exactly the same. Jay was King at 11:35, Conan was King at 12:35. Now both ratings suck, not to mention Fallon who sucks much more.

This isn’t fair to Conan at all. He packed everything up to make the move out to LA. It’s not his fault NBC gave him this. Leno’s show is getting bad ratings, they ought to just cancel it. But, personally, I’d like to see Jay back at 11:30, and Conan after him. Fallon is awful.

If you don’t care, why do you read and comment on an article. I like Conan AND Leno. They should cancel Fallon and flush him down the toilet.

Jay is old and not funny anymore…his quips and jokes are old school and nobody wants that crap anymore. Conan and Jimmy are great together…throwing jay in there is ridiculous- if Jay doesn’t like his time slot then make him go to Saturday nights before SNL….He doesnt need to be on every weekday….Or JUST RETIRE LIKE HE WAS SUPPOSED TO AFTER THE TONIGHT SHOW. Its Brett Farve…he keeps leaving and coming back when everyone keeps telling him to stay retired… NBC is run by monkeys. Look at how much they are failing! Switching Jay again…Hmmm… Jay should be on at 11- I’m fine with conan on at 12 but its B.S. as the 11:30 slot is clearly the tonight show slot. And then you are pushing back Jimmy Fallon too whose show just got off the ground…Its alittle ridiculous to move eveyrone else around for King Jay… its bulls*it

Conan rocks. Jay is done. If he can’t suceed at 10- why would he at 11:30 again. Its such a slap in the face to Conan too. What can Jay do in 30 minutes? Thats really like a 22 minute show…So your telling me he’s going to be happy with 22 minutes? Pshhh… They better not kick out Conan. Jimmy is also great. If anything…this can all be solved by removing Carson and his pathetic attempt at late night t.v. He’s not even trying anymore and doesn’t even have an audience- its like Extra. What a joke.

Conan is about as talented as Kitty-Litter. He’s minor league, and the only people that see him as “progressive and funny” are weak minded at best. I called the shot on this when it was first announced. Fallon runs second to Conan, and that says quite a bit! Leno is no Johnny Carson, but he’s still far better than Lying Dave Letterman. Anyone can disagree, but the painful truth is in the dollars and ratings. Leno always ran in front of Letterman in ratings, and Conan is so far behind Letterman he might as well be selling Oxy-Clean.

Johnny Carson when he left, left for good. Jay leaves but can’t let Conan have his day in the sun. He has to stay on the Network and undercut Conan. He stabbed Dave Letterman in the back to get the Tonight Show and now he’s doing the same thing to Conan.. NBC should get rid of Jay and stick with Conan

I can’t believe I’m saying this….but I agree with “painfultruth.” Also, Conan needs to mature and get rid of the “hair flip.”

To: Painfultruth, Get your facts straights…Leno was getting his but kicked by Letterman until Hugh Grant appeared on Leno’s show he was busted with a hooker. Leno did have great ratings 12+…Letterman always won the coveted 18-34 demo. And if you don’t know what those numbers mean, then I would suggest keeping it zipped.

Used to love Letterman, but he got so political and liberal haven’t wached him in over 10 years. Leno is weak but better than Conan and Fallon is better than Conan too. Sorry Conan, you were great with The Simpsons but late night ain’t your gig.

Most late night guys are fairly lame. Conan was mildly amusing back in the days when his show was low budget. The few times a catch his show he’s always talking about his hair. We get it, your hair is unmanageable. He was at his best writing for the Simpsons.

I will not watch either at an 11:30 slot. If no one is on at 10, then I will go back to not watching the late night talk shows anymore.

Return Jay to old time and format- Do not like the format of Jay’s current show-nor the way they’ve tried to modernize him- Conan was good following Leno-Fallon just does not cut it with me. I’ve been watching Letterman since after the 1st week of change.

I hope Jay does get the late time slot again. He’s much better than Conan. His show worked in the late-night slot. I tried hard watching it in the earlier time slot, but just could not get into the humor that early in the evening - strange. He will be successful again in the later time.

If the rumor is true that Jay is going back to 11:30, but only for a half-hour… it would be a disaster. That would give Letterman a half-hour jump on Conan and Craig Ferguson (my personal fav) a half-hour lead on Fallon. NBC is essentially GIVING late-night to CBS for the next five years.

Maybe NBC wants to make a lot of bad decisions for old time’s sake before they get out from under GE. They’ll be cool after that.

I like Jay, but I like Conan much better… I would not mind seeing Conan back at 12:35. Doesnt really matter to me either way since I only watch Leno now for “Headlines” on Monday nights. IMO Jimmy Fallon isn’t funny. He laughes all the time during his sketches and it makes it not that funny.

Jay Leno is not funny. He’s sooo lame. Old people don’t stay up until 11:30, so ax him. Conan rules (although Craig Ferguson is the funniest late man on TV). The only thing good about Fallon’s show is the band, and I can’t believe the amazing Roots sold out for such a wuss.

The one that should be replaced is that gapped tooth, non-funny ,socialist, letterman. He hasn’t been funny since the 80’s & since he revealed he is flaming liberal,I won’t ever watch him .

My prediction… - News moves up to 10 to compete with other news first outlets. - Leno moves to 10:35. - Conan stays at 11:35.

Th late Carson sent jokes to Letterman, not Leno. My understanding is that Carson expected Letterman to replace him. Might have something to do with Carson never again appearing on NBC after leaving the Tonight Show. Letterman has always been more acidic in his humor, but his obvious far tilt to the left has made him unwatchable to me. Don’t like Leno either. Hmmm. What to do. Makes no dif to me anymore, I’m in bed way before then and none are DVR-worthy.

I grew up with Carson, turned to Jay, liked Conan sporadically. Fallon was best on SNL. Jay’s new show is ok but I refer him to go back to 1130. NBC messed up! Maybe Jay should retire permanently.

The only reason Conan had any ratings at all is because folks fell asleep while watching Leno and left their televisions on.

It’s a shame you turn off Conan and Letterman to watch Seinfeld reruns you’ve already seen 10 to 15 times. BRING BACK TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO!
