Dethroned beauty queen regrets sex tape, says she was ‘Palinized’
In a strange interview on the “Today Show” Tuesday, Nov. 10, dethroned Miss California Carrie Prejean promoted her new book while bashing the media and admitting she made a sex tape or ‘whatever’ you want to call it.
“If you want to call it a sex tape that’s fine,” Prejean said of the tape she sent to a boyfriend at age 17. “It was me by myself. There was no one else with me. I was not having sex.”
She said the tape was made for private use.
Before going on and on about both protecting free speech and how wicked her critics were for speaking their minds, Prejean said making the sex or ‘whatever’ tape was the biggest mistake she’s ever made.

“I think that a lot of young people can learn from this. And nothing is private anymore. Nothing is private. But the biggest thing and the reason I wrote this book is because Americans believe their beliefs are under attack, and this is proof, ” Prejean said.
Prejean, the Former Miss USA runner-up, dropped her lawsuit against Miss California pageant organizers last week apparently on the heels of the tape’s discovery.
She would not discuss the lawsuit, but said she has been ‘Palinized’ by liberals since speaking out against same-sex marriage at the Miss USA pageant seven months ago.
“There’s been a campaign against me to try silence me,” she said. “They’ve tried to embarrass me. They’ve tried to humiliate me. They’ve tried to attack me, and I am still standing, and they can’t take that.”
Perhaps not so ironically, Prejean’s book is called “Still Standing.”

The writer opens by saying the interview was very strange, but didn’t elaborate what made it very strange. Today’s journalism… meh.

I saw this interview while getting ready for work this morning. She IS weird. If the tape was no big deal, why drop the lawsuit? She’s nothing but a pretty face with fake boobs containing only empty space between her ears. “Like, hey, I’m a beauty queen.” NOT!

I love how her soapbox is that of “Christian beliefs” & then a “sex or ‘whatever you want to call it’” tape pops up. It’s obvious that if you make a solo tape for someone else, you’re having relations. At 17. Before marriage. I wish she’d quit using the Bible as her shield for her ignorant beliefs.

If she really was 17, then couldn’t whoever’s in possession of the tape be arrested - and for that matter, couldn’t she, for making it? I wonder if she was older and this is just a clever way to make sure it doesn’t get released. Not saying that’s what should happen, but the legal implications are interesting.

Did anyone of you make stupid teenage mistakes? To be a Cristian does not mean that you have never sinned. You learn from your mistakes and ask for forgiveness from the Lord not from you all.

She’s welcome to her opinion on gay matters just as any one else but to claim she’s harassed for being Christian shows she’s a hypocrite.

I watched the interview. She has the typical Republican arrogance that allows her to cast blame on everyone else, but never being accountable for her own hypocrisy. The other typical Republican tactic is to see every other Republican come to her defense explaining why “her” hypocrisy is justified why blindly ignoring that she is a liar, an Christian opportunist, ignorant, and now a porn star. How deep will her hole have to be until her supporters suffocate with her?

Melissa, You’re right on target. Her hypocrisy and arrogance is disgusting. Palinized? You mean being called out for saying extremely stupid things?

I do think she has been attacked for her opinion. Some people were really angered by her comment. I also think she is being a hypocrite for bashing on gays and making sex tapes. I myself get tired of both sides of this. The Christians that act like they are better than everyone else and everyone should act just like them and the gays that want to parade around town and have sex with everything that moves. I think they are both idiot.

Having made a sexting video and sending it to her boyfriend at age 17 (for which many are being prosecuted) renders Carrie Prejean ineligible to compete in the pageant (per pageant rules/contract) from day one. Period. Any attempts by her to defend herself by claiming to be a victim, then to bring on a $1M+ lawsuit against the pageant is pure audacity. Obviously, she had chutzbah, as well, in ASSuming that the masterbatory sexting video would not surface. Surprise, sssurrrprise, Miss Carrie Christian; it surfaced! And now you dropped your lawsuit (in 15 seconds, it was reported) when it became known that you had tried to keep this secret which, again, renders you ineligible to enter and compete in the pageant. Without even judging you on your anti-gay (discriminatory) stance or religious devotion (questionable), you are a liar and a fraud for trying to decieve the pageant. Period.
