Fox News host coming to The Greene
Former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee will bring his great, big tour bus to Books & Co at The Greene, 4453 Walnut St., Beavercreek, for a 3 p.m. talk Wednesday, Nov. 18.
“He’s definitely not sneaking into town,” said Sharon Kelly Roth, a Books and Co. spokeswoman.
The star of Fox News Channel’s “Huckabee” will promote two books - “A Simple Christmas” and New York Times bestseller “Do the Right Thing: Inside the Movement That’s Bringing Common Sense Back to America.”
Line numbers will be given out beginning at 2 p.m.
Huckabee, a former Arkansas governor, does daily commentaries for ABC Radio Network.
He gained national recognition during the 2008 Republican presidential primaries.

Huckabee is a right wing extremist who has a smooth demeanor and likable personality. Don’t be taken in by his charm. He’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Hey Jim - sounds a lot like our current President, just on the other side of the aisle. Of course, I am guessing ANYONE with an (R) behind their name is an extremist in your opinion.

Bill, Huckabee was not a former presidential candidiate; that was McCain. He was a candidate for the Republican nomination.

You people are looking for anything to pick apart. The item says he ran for president in the first line. He is a Fox News host. Seems you think that is something to be embarrassed about.

“Do the right thing.” We did, we didn’t give him the Republican nomination. He will never be POTUS. The last thing we need is a religious nut job running this country.

Sorry, bill. Huckabee wasn’t a candidate for president. He threw his hat in the ring in an effort to become the Republican’s presidential candidate, but didn’t make the cut. McCain was the candidate. And, given that Huckabee now has a show on Fox “News”, that makes the DDN headline entirely accurate.

Bill, get a clue! DDN is simply reporting what Huckabee’s latest career venture is and it happens to be with Fox News. Most journalistic entities are going to go with what the subject(s)latest endeavor is. Such touchy conservatives around here looking to hate rather than band together to make bad situations better.

Nichole and A is A: Huckabee was a presidential candidate. Being the Democratic or Republican nominee is simply those parties way of narrowing down which presidential candidate they will support. The article, and Bill, are correct.

For some of the wonderful logic on DDN, we have a religious extremist as a governor right now.

His visit might just be the start of something new for the area. At least Dayton finally wisened up and kicked a liberal out of the mayor’s office. Dayton will never progress if unions and liberals continue to keep the city under their collective thumbs. Huckabee brings a fresh perspective to the area. And for those of you who don’t like his religious beliefs (and I don’t particularly care for the religious right), remember the religious beliefs of the man you just placed in the White House. Then again, do we really know what his religion is??? Hmm…

Jim - Obama is a left wing extremist and he ran as a middle of the road democrat. He had to lie to get elected just like many democrats do. How many times does a democrat run in the middle to get elected because americans do not want socialism. yes there is a relatively small percentage of people that like socialism but most of these people are either young, idealist or stupid.

Mike Huckabee, what joke. Fox news what a joke. Go Nancy!!! This “conservative right wing country” has been ruined by all the uneducated, naive people that believe all the bull dished out by the last administration. Money only goes to big business. You all don’t even know what socialism really is—-you’re too selfish and lazy.

It’s to darn bad we can’t put Bill Clinton back in the White House!! At least he could put the country back on the right path even though we would have to put up with his philandering!! Besides, how would you like to go through life with the name “Huckabee”, it’s awfully close to Huckleberry Hound. “Right on BaBa Looey!!”

at least the Greene brings in authors for book signings. maybe if the new mayor can clean up downtown a bit we can have nice things downtown as opposed to in the ‘burbs. it is going to be nice to have a mayor that isn’t a union puppet and a drunkard. maybe Dayton will go uphill and not downhill. I can hope

The left just doesn’t get it…the only socialist snake oil salesman is temporarily occupying the W.H.. Maybe after the election in 2010 the dems and the socialist media will see that freedom loving Americans will not be hoodwinked by the greatest con artist to ever be president.

You know, I see all of these disgusting, hateful, and shameful comments about a good man like Mike Huckabee and can only ask myself, “Is this the new, more civil political system Barack Obama promised us?” I thought his election would transcend the petty bitterness that he claimed drove the previous administration into power. I guess the left is still just as hate-filled as they accuse the right of being.
