DUI conviction cleared from Mel Gibson’s record

It’s like Mel Gibson never drove drunk or went nuts on the sheriff’s deputy who arrested him in 2006.

Nope, didn’t happen. Nothing 2 C.

I mean YOU may recall how a drunken Gibson lobbed anti-Semitic comments, but as far as the law is concerned, it didn’t happen.

A judge today, Tuesday, Oct. 6, agreed to expunge Gibson’s 2006 DUI conviction from his record, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Because this was his first DUI conviction, Gibson was eligible to have the charge removed once he completed the terms of his probation.

Gibson lived up to his end of the deal, attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, appearing in public service announcements and paying a fine, The Times said.

Great story! He exercised his right to expunge his record as allowed by the law. That infuriates me beyond belief that someone took advantage of the system by exercising a legal right! Man, keep up the dramatic stories…

I even like the poll. Was he let off too easy? Well, let’s see… as agreed, he attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, appeared in public service announcements and payed a fine. He then served out his probabation, and then like any other person in the same circumstance, he filed to have his record expunged as allowed by the law. Did he get off too easy? He didn’t ‘get off’. He served his sentence. You people are a trip. Are you for real any more?
