“Real Housewife’ loses mansion

< font size = 4> UPDATE Aug. 12: Lisa Wu Hartwell told People Magazine that he family was not evicted as TMZ reported Tuesday, Aug. 11. “It was decision that we made and not one that was made for us. But we were not put out.”

Not every bird can soar and not every ‘Real Housewife’ can hold on to a house.

Lisa Wu-Hartwell of Bravo’s hit reality show “Real Housewives of Atlanta” no longer has her mansion.

According to TMZ, the high-strung socialite and her hubby, former Oakland Raiders linebacker Edgerton Hartwell, lost their $2.9 million home last week.

The bank foreclosed on the home and sold it when the couple defaulted on their loan.

Wu-Hartwell’s rep told TMZ that there was a failed attempt to restructure the loan with the lender. The rep said the couple owns a new house on 10 acres of land and is doing fine.

Is it “losses” or “loses”? Geez! And: “The rep said the couple owns a new houses on 10 acres…”. Wow…owns a new houses. Someone needs to check grammar!

I think that Loses is correct.

Both statements are correct. “Couple” in this context is a “singular” entity, thus “owns” is appropriate.

I left that first comment because the grammar of the article was totally off. They must have fixed it before everyone else got to read it.

I believe you 1up…this “journalist” has a history of errors. I think DDN needs to send them all back to school. I’m catching errors every day. I don’t think anyone proofs the content before it goes live.

You are so jealous. Could it be that you dream of being a real writer? If you hate this newspaper so much, stop reading it. There are plenty of other sites on the web. By the way, your grammar leaves much to be desired.

People have lost homes before. I would guess more and more people will do the same. The Hartwells look like they are still thriving.
