Jamie Lynn Spears: Baby #2 on board?
So says the National Enquirer, which is right almost as often as it’s wrong, so who knows. The tabloid also says Jamie Lynn’s pals are after her to abort. Maddie Briann was born June 19 — yup, that’s about four months ago.
“Jamie Lynn is about eight weeks pregnant, and she and her mom Lynne are hysterical,” revealed a close source. “Neither of them knows what to do, but for now they’re trying to keep the news from getting out.”
Too late. Here’s some intrusive stuff, so if you’re up for it, keep reading: The unplanned pregnancy came as a shock to Jamie Lynn, who’d been breast-feeding her infant daughter Maddie Briann. “Jamie Lynn believed she couldn’t get pregnant while she was breast-feeding,” said the close source. “She’d expected to have her period by early September.” A home pregnancy test came back positive and Jamie Lynn cried her eyes out, said the source.
Meanwhile, those same insiders say the word “abortion” is being bandied about with some force: “(Friends) reminded Jamie Lynn how much trouble she had adjusting to motherhood with Maddie, and pointed out that having a second baby now would only be a recipe for disaster,” said the close source.
Here’s the kicker: To find out who the baby daddy is, you’ll have to bite the bullet and buy the latest issue of National Enquirer. Say it’s for a sick aunt.

Stars turn out against animal cruelty
It’s not on OUR ballot — Ohio’s still deciding between the Big Two — but California and its movie stars turned out over the weekend in support of the state’s Proposition 2 at a “Making History Under the Stars” gala hosted by Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi. Prop 2 is the Californian Prevention of Farm Cruelty Act which aims to help stop animal cruelty, improve health and safety, support family farmers, and protect air and water. All good stuff.
The star-studded fete was held in Bel Air, bringing out such passionate advocates as Heather Graham, James Cromwell, Amy Smart, Jared Leto and a bevy of others all with the same call of concern. Here’s the whole story, found on a sight called Ecorazzi, which specializes in green gossip. Now we’ve heard it all.

Ex-Power Ranger actor on trial for murder
Skylar Deleon, 29, who appeared on the “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” television show in the 1990s, has pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and murder for financial gain. According to IMDB, Deleon was “Roger” in one Power Ranger episode, but still … once a Ranger, always a Ranger? Here’s the entire story.
Jennifer Henderson, 25, is accused of helping Deleon, then her husband, and several accomplices kill Tom and Jackie Hawks for their yacht. Henderson was found guilty of two counts of first-degree murder on Nov. 17, 2006. Tom and Jackie Hawks were allegedly bound to the anchor of their yacht and tossed overboard four years ago.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for Deleon, who has pleaded not guilty to the charges. Three other men — Alonso Machain, Myron Gardner and John Fitzgerald Kennedy — have also been charged with murder and murder for financial gain but have yet to stand trial. They also pleaded not guilty.
The jury will also consider a separate murder charge filed against Deleon in the killing of a man he met in a work furlough program in 2003 while serving time for burglary. Prosecutors suspect Deleon took $50,000 from the man then slit his throat and dumped his body in Mexico. Deleon also pleaded not guilty to that charge. The two cases will be tried jointly to prevent some unspecified witnesses from appearing in court twice, said Susan Kang Schroeder, a spokeswoman for the Orange County district attorney’s office.
In a third case to be tried separately, Deleon is charged with soliciting the killings of his father and cousin after growing concerned that they had information about his alleged role in the crimes. His cousin is expected to testify at the current trial.

Misty May-Treanor surgery is successful
One day after having to bow out of competing on the seventh season of Dancing With the Stars, Misty May-Treanor had surgery Tuesday morning to repair a torn Achilles tendon.
Her rep says surgery was “successful” and that “she is currently at home recovering. Her husband, Matt [Treanor] is with her.”
The 31-year-old beach volleyball star, who won her second Olympic gold medal in Beijing in August, injured herself while rehearsing the jive with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy last Friday.
Doctors estimate it will take approximately nine months of recovery and rehabilitation before May-Treanor can return to the volleyball court.
“I would come back to the ballroom if they asked me back,” May-Treanor said on Monday’s DWTS broadcast.
