Heather Locklear arrested for DUI

locklear-arrest-dui_290b.jpg

Heather Locklear — yup, that’s her mug shot — was arrested in Montecito, California on Saturday afternoon and booked for suspicion of driving under the influence of prescription medication.

“Around 4:30 p.m., a female witness saw Heather Locklear driving erratically while leaving a parking lot in Montecito,” a California Highway Patrol spokesman said. “The witness said Locklear was revving her engine loudly, and backed over a pair of sunglasses several times.” Die, Ray-Ban, Die!

Soon after, the witness spotted Locklear, 47, stopped on a nearby highway, exiting her vehicle. “The witness called 911 because she was concerned for Locklear’s safety,” the Patrol spokesman said. “When a CHP officer arrived, Locklear was found seated inside her vehicle, which was partially blocking the roadway.”

Because Locklear appeared “disoriented and impaired,” she was taken to a local CHP station and drug and alcohol tests were administered. The actress was cooperative. “Alcohol was ruled out as a factor, but based on the officer’s observations, we believe Locklear was under the influence of prescription medication,” according to the CHP spokesman, who was nobody famous. Not even an actor.

Last year, Locklear got a divorce from Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora after 11 years of marriage. They have a daughter, Ava Elizabeth, who’s going to have to find a better ride to soccer practice: Sambora pleaded no contest to DUI back in March; Ava was in the car when he was popped. Ava was not with Heather when she was busted.

Scarlett Johansson runs off, gets married

ryan_scarlett_blog.jpg

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds wed yesterday — Saturday, Sept. 27. It was a small wedding, at a remote wilderness resort outside Vancouver. In attendance were Scarlett’s mom, Melanie Sloan, and Scarlett’s brother Adrian. (There’s also a sister, Vanessa, and a twin brother, Hunter — apparently they didn’t make it.) Reynolds was born in Vancouver; Scarlett’s from New York.

Johansson, 23, and Reynolds, 31, who had been dating since Spring 2007, announced their engagement on May 5, the day the actress flashed a three-carat diamond ring estimated to be worth about $30,000 at the Met Costume Ball Gala.

Russell Crowe, Nicole Kidman future in-laws

Russell_crowe180.jpg

Russell Crowe says he’s chosen a bride for his 2-year-old son Tennyson — 2 1/2-month-old Sunday Rose Urban. The kids share a birthday, and their parents are friends. Why not?

“Nicole had one look at my younger son Tennyson, and looked up at me and said, ‘I’m a great believer in arranged marriages,’” the actor said. “I believe she made the connection between Sunday and Tennyson now — so Tennyson is already engaged!”

It was all worked out at Crowe’s home in Australia recently, he says. “Nicole and Keith brought Sunday Rose around on a Sunday, which I thought was appropriate, but Sunday Rose is a beautiful child with beautiful delicate features and it was fun when she brought her around Sunday — it was nice.”
