Bids open for big ol’ portrait of Britney

A portrait of Britney Spears is being auctioned on eBay to raise money for the Promises Foundation, which provides assistance for low-income mothers and their children. The 5-by-4-foot oil painting was created by Daniel Maltzman, and was autographed by Spears.

The portrait depicts the singer in a bikini with her eyes closed and her arms crossing her chest. Spears’ famous belly button ring is visible. The painting is being auctioned on eBay with a starting bid of $10,000. The winner will receive an ownership letter from Spears’ father Jaime.

The auction ends Sept. 20. As of Saturday evening, the top bid was $12,100.

Whether he's doing stand-up comedy, starring in his new reality program or appearing in feature films, funnyman Eddie Griffin leaves an indelible impression. The Kansas City native performs at the Funny Bone Comedy Club Friday and Saturday, Jan. 9 and 10. Griffin is known for movie roles in films including "Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo," "Norbit" and "Scary Movie 3" as well as the UPN television series "Malcolm & Eddie."
