She film project looking for agent
Dayton native Amy Kreitzer believes Dayton is the “music mecca of the Midwest.”
So much so she wrote a movie script where the city of Dayton is the backdrop and Dayton music supplies the soundtrack.
The film is called She. It is the story of a archeologists returning to her hometown (Dayton) and finding it a “ghost-town.” The tag line for the film is “Dayton, Ohio haunts her dreams, and when She returns, the real nightmare begins.”
The cast is filled with many important Dayton musicians. The main character is to be played by ex-Brainiac and Shesus guitarist Michelle Bodine. The film will also feature Billy Catfish, Dave Sparks (Drexel), and DJ Rev Cool.
Kreitzer and her script are getting a lot of attention. She recently hooked up with an LA-based entertainment attorney and is putting the final touches on her script.
Her next step is to find an agent.
“People love this film concept, they get it,” Kreitzer said. “Now I just have to finish the last few edits, so an agent will read it.”
Kreitzer hopes that She will help expose Dayton’s rich music history and award it the credit it deserves.
“I really sense that there is a great agent out there that will realize the many merits and potential this concept has if it is handled properly,” said Kreitzer. “I hope to have the revisions done in a couple of weeks, and then I will begin my search.”
Good luck Amy.
