Southeast Engine release new video

Athens, Ohio indie-folk band Southeast Engine released a brand new video for the song ‘Black Gold’ from the band’s upcoming full-length due out February 17th.

The album will be called From the Forest to the Sea and will be released by Mirsa records.

The video quickly garnered national attention when it was posted on Stereogum.com early Wednesday.

Directed by Washington D.C. filmmaker Thomas R. Britt and filmed in and around the Mall in D.C., the video features the band wearing gas masks and doing mysterious activities around the Washington Monument.

The album was reportedly recorded live to analog tape in a 1800s middle school auditorium in Stewart, Ohio.

Southeast Engine, who has strong Dayton roots, is planning a Dayton cd release show at Canal Street Tavern on March 6th.

The band is also planning an appearance at the SXSW festival in mid-March.
