Filter and Bobaflex to headline Woodshock

Woodshock has been one of the largest Midwest rock concert/parties for the past twelve years. Yearly crowds of wild music fans and campers have reached 10,000.

Woodshock has hosted some of the best rock and metal acts in the industry. Past headliners include Static X, Twelve Tribes, Mushroomhead, Nonpoint, Dope, and more.

Last week organizers announced that the ‘08 headliners will be Filter and Bobaflex making this year the biggest yet.

Woodshock 2008 is scheduled for Aug. 8th and 9th at the Zanes Shawnee Caverns in Bellefontaine, Ohio. All-ages are welcome and tickets are available through Ticketmaster or from one of the many local bands who will perform (I hear Once-ler has tickets).

It has been years since I made it out to Woodshock, but it was a great time. Very professionally done, but not corporately damaged by expensive vendors and sponsors.

Visit www.myspace.com/woodshock for more info and updates.

Rumor is that Woodshock ‘08 still needs local bands to perform. Bands hit the space and talk to Tim.

Amelia's Bistro, Bellbrook, restaurant review [review]

Call it comfort food, gourmet style. From crab raviolis with vanilla lobster sauce, to a hand-cut and brined pork chop served with a fig jam, to a simply "Big-Ass Cake" that's a chocolate lover's dream, Amelia's has the potential to become a destination restaurant — worth the drive to Bellbrook.
