Blind Bob’s to open in August
I exchanged e-mail’s with Lisa Mendenhall this weekend regarding the construction progress to what used to be the Nite Owl.
Mendenhall recently purchased the long-time rock club and will re-open it under the name Blind Bob’s in August.
“We are working with August 8th as an opening date with a grand opening sometime after that,” said Mendenhall.
She also told me that I would not believe how good the club looks after only a month of construction.
“We’ve taken down the ceiling to expose the old rafters and taken off what seemed like a zillion layers of old flooring to get down to the original wood,” described Mendenhall. “There is a new wood front that will get painted soon, then the glass can be put back in.”
I can not wait to see the revamped Oregon District hot spot which was recently added as one of the host locations for the Dayton Music Fest 2008.
“I spoke to Dan from the DMF and we are looking forward to being apart of the music Fest,” said Mendenhall.
The Dayton Music Fest is the first weekend in October.
