LA Guns robbed at McGuffy’s

Popular 80’s rock band LA Guns were robbed Thursday night during their performance at McGuffy’s.

A news report posted on www.bringbackglam.com said that the band’s dressing room was burglarized while the band was performing at the Riverside bar.

According to the report LA Guns drummer, Chad Stewart, took center stage prior to the band’s encore and announced that “someone had stolen their wallets and cash.” He then demanded that security guards “lock the doors to the bar and not allow any one in or out.”

After a bit of confusion, patrons were individually searched for the stolen merchandise which included a Blackberry and a bottle of Jack Daniels whiskey.

Riverside police were called to the scene and a suspect was taken into custody.

One of the organizers of the event responded to questions about the robbery on a forum at www.Daytonbands.com.

The representative from Trans-Fusion Entertainment confirmed that they did capture the thief and that all of the stolen merchandise was returned to the band. He also remarked that he will hire “dressing room security” at all future events.

What kind of Tard pays to see L.A. Guns? Anyone saying it was wrong to search everybody is a hippocrite. If that was your property missing you would be screaming the loudest. If you think that is wrong, you must be a thief. I would be glad to be searched to catch a scumbag thief.

2 things: Joe is right. Nobody else has the right to demand that the doors should be locked and everybody should be searched. Why was this allowed to happen? And heads-up to Thomas Jerome Newton. Riverside and Dayton are not the same town; hence the different names.

I’m surprised the cops didn’t cite the band for locking the bar but it makes sense. The bar owner should have done it. He has the right and he should always have security back stage. Equipment is too expensive to risk that liability but then, the band should have had one of their crew keeping an eye on things as well. Common sense, people. It’s something they can’t teach and if you don’t use it you lose it.

Hey Joe, if that was your stuff missing you would have wanted the same thing to happen so you can get off your soapbox now.

Joe, you are really stupid. IF they hadn’t locked the doors and searched everyone, some thief would have made off with a Blackberry ($300) and a bottle of jack ($30) and all the wallets and cash. I say they ought to do that more often, so they can catch these ignorant thieves. I’d gladly let them search me if it means having thieves arrested and for people to get their belongings back. Then again I suppose idiots like you like being stole from.

If they had not lock down the place the low life scum would have gotten away with it. They did the right thing for the moment.

I’ve said it before, build jails on every street corner and put these kind of people away for ever.

It’s very sad that this is what we hear everyday anymore. Whatever happened to getting a job and working for a living.
