Captain of Industry to record in New York

There is big news out of the Captain of Industry camp.

The band is packing up the van and leaving for New York this week to record a brand new record.

Dayton’s favorite indie rockers announced through a bulletin on Myspace.com that they will begin recording this weekend with producer Noel Benford. The band will also employ the help from Do Tell records label-mates the Slackers on a track or two.

“The new songs have been a work in progress over the past two years,” writes the band. “We plan to record 25 songs, release 12 on the cd and post the rest online for free or a small donation.”

The tentative title for Captain’s new disc is Strange Furr, but it could change.

After a few November dates in New York the band will be back to play a hometown show at the Nite Owl on December 7th with Switchblade Serenade.

Then the talented 5-piece will set out to do a number of dates in the midwest through the rest of the year. Their tour will include Chicago, Detroit and Athens.
