Halloween shows continue this week
Many of you got dressed up this past weekend and hit one of the many Halloween celebrations in the Oregon District and elsewhere.
But, do not put your costume up yet there are many mid-week Halloween shows happening this week in Dayton.
Wednesday, October 31st, is the annual Halloween jam at Canal Street Tavern. This year Terrapin Moon will entertain playing Grateful Dead cover tunes until Jerry Garcia becomes gratefully undead. I can tell by the dancing skeletons on the Terrapin Moon website, www.terrapinmoon.net, that this year’s Halloween Jam will live up to past years.
Wednesday the Nite Owl will feature Dayton-power-punk-rockers Vows who are back after a summer off due to an injury to guitarist Chip Heck. It is good to see the band, who is made up of ex-Shadyside and ex-When Sparks Fly members, back onstage. Also playing is Stone the Mayor Sheriffs which features members of Dayton hardcore bands Sputnik Halo and Cane Fight. Visit myspace.com/vows for a sample of what you will hear.
Visit whatsupdayton.com for a complete list of shows.
