Paleo comes back to Dayton
David Andrew Strackany, also known as Paleo, is a true rock n’ roll road warrior.
From tax day ‘06 through tax day ‘07 Paleo was on the road and performed in over 152 cities from coast-to-coast.
But, that is not the most impressive part about Paleo.
This talented singer/songwriter from Brooklyn, New York wrote and recorded a song every single day of his 365-day outing on tour. He labeled this innovative song-writing project his Song Diary and gained a cult following from fans as he posted each song as they were written online so fans could hear Paleo sing all over the country.
“The Song Diary is complete and I cannot even explain how both sad and ecstatic I feel about life without it,” said Strackany. “It must be something like skydiving, how slow it feels to walk once you knew what it was to fly.”
Paleo will release The Song Diary as a DVD later this year. It will feature 365 mp3’s equaling over 17 hours of music.
“Yea, it is easily the longest album ever released,” said Strackany.
After a couple months of rest Paleo is back on the road for another long outing. He will be back in Dayton for the second time on Sunday, August 26th at the Nite Owl. Show starts at 9 pm.
Visit Paleo’s website, www.paleo.ws, and download any song from his infamous song diary as well as see pictures from his year long adventure.
