Playoffs second round beginning Thursday
Like the weather and politics; local music changes very quickly.
In a previous post I mentioned that the second round of the Dayton Band Playoffs was set to begin on Sunday, July 29th.
However, due to scheduling conflicts the second round will begin this Thursday, July 26th with jam-rockers The Sandals going head-to-head against Plogiston Theory.
The Sandals, who tied for fourth place in last year’s Dayton Band Playoffs, believes that 2007 is their year to be champs.
“Overall I think we have a pretty good chance at winning this thing,” said Sandals bass player Mike. “We just love friendly competition,” he added
Since last year the band has added a new member in keyboardists Norman who also plays in fellow local jam-band the Maji.
The Sandals were second overall in most votes after the first round and head into Thursdays second round showdown with a lot of momentum.
