Daytonbands.com and their forums
It used to be just a hobby to check out the Daytonbands.com music and community forums, but lately my daily internet history has been filled with trips to the only website dedicated to Dayton bands, fans, and music.
The forums on Daytonbands.com allow area music fans and musicians a place to openly discuss and gossip about issues and news regarding local and national music.
Anyone can create a profile and let their opinions on local bands and music be heard.
This openness allows for unpredictable topics and responses, and is also the reason I so frequently click my Daytonbands.com bookmark.
Recent topics include ‘who’s the best rock guitarist in Dayton’, ‘how to find affordable recording’, and ‘American Idol is looking for bands.’
There are a variety of forums to view including Dayton Music Discussion, General Music Discussion, and Musicians Helping Musicains. There is even a forum dedicated strictly to posting local shows and events.
I opt to stay out of the interesting dialogue I read in the forums (especially when they refer to this particular music blog), but I am thankful that the local music community has a place to share their troubles and triumphs.
