Spend Saturday with the American Static

If your still sulking because you missed the American Static show at Gilly’s last month, then it is time to cheer up. The Dayton rock super-group will be playing this Saturday (1/13/07) at the Oregon Express.

The American Static is a collaboration of some of the area’s best veteran rockers from established bands Flyaway Minion, Snake Oil, and Shrug. Their live show is wild and energetic with a sound that bangs out more catchy hooks than Peter Pan on amphetamines.

Here are a few of the other shows to check out this weekend:

Friday, January 12th: Flyaway Minion and Hotpipes at Canal Street Tavern; Once-ler at J. Alans; Snake Oil and Wil Cope at Peach’s Grill; Second Echo at The Avenue.

Saturday, January 13th: The American Static and Southeast Engine at Oregon Express; Mike Perkins Band at Canal Street Tavern; The Bull and the Bear at Peach’s Grill; Raised By Possums at the Trolley Stop.
