December, come on in
December looks to be a great month for local shows. This is a little strange because in past years shows have been few and far between in December. Some of the highlights looking ahead are Mona’s cd release party (12/9 at Canal Street), the Tom Watson Benefit show featuring My Latex Brain (12/16 at Oregon Express), and singer/songwriter, Paleo (12/28 at Nite Owl).
Heres some shows to check out this weekend:
Thurs. - Avo and Smoky Basement Project at Canal Street
Friday - Shrug at Oregon Express; The Bull and the Bear at The Nite Owl; Michael Kelsey at Peach’s; Peter Mulvey at Canal Street.
Saturday - Jonathan Coulton/ Sometimes Why/ Paul and Storm at Canal Street; The Electric Grandmother/ Oxymoronatron/ The Banana Convention at Oregon Express.

Avo was in the studio this last weekend knocking out 13 originals. They did a great job and looking forward to having them back to finish off the tracks. Smokey Basement Project is coming in this weekend to start their upcoming cd. Should be great times. Ron Pease Aztek Records/Refraze Recording Studios
