Congrats to Sputnik Halo for winning on Sunday to join the rest of the field in the third round. Their very narrow victory over the scrappy HQAX sets up a very interesting match-up with Jet Kid Committee. That show is just one of many great shows coming up in round three. My compliments go out to HQAX who almost pulled off the big upset. Not bad for a band who was not even suppose to make the second round.

Check back to this blog for a complete preview of round three as soon as round two has officially concluded. I’m really excited about the bands still left and really anticipate a hard fought last few rounds.

Thanks for updating the Sputnik Halo/HQAX article. Though, I still think both bands deserve a good in-depth review, like the one about Wednesday’s show.

The only band to get favorable reviews in both the DCP and the DDN for the past two years is Murmur. Get out and see them, then vote your conscience. The problem is that people vote for their friends, not the best band—this year, let’s show that Dayton can get it right!
