I know people are going to think I am crazy, but The New Great Wall in Beavercreek is really good. I lived in Louisiana for 10 years and even the cheapest buffet there was better that here, to include China Cottage. New Great Wall is actually exciting and all orders are made to order.

The House of Thai has such great food. Everything is cooked exceptionally and the atmosphere is great. Definitely the best Thai food in Dayton.

The sushi restaurants should really be in a separate catergory from the mainstream Chinese places.

None of those listed I prefer China Dynasty which I notice is not listed. Why?

It’s a tie for me — Siam Pad Thai (delicious entrees, excellent sushi, cozy atmosphere) and Little Saigon (seems like a hole in the wall from the outside but inside is nice and clean; HUGE bowls of delicious soup and free hot tea - can’t beat it!). Thai 9 is also good but has too much hype. For Chinese/Japanese, I just tried CJ Chan for the first time and it was excellent.

Readers make the nominations, Red and forget me not. It’s always been that way for these Best of votes. Their fans must have missed the nominating period.

The fact Myong’s Cafe is not listed here makes me sad. Myong’s has the BEST Korean you can get outside of Korea.

Best gooch food was in Saigon. Dessert in the back room was great. Guess we’ll have to settle for Little Saigon. Those were the days!

I really enjoy Saya. I choose to sit at the Sushi bar and have come to know the people there very well. They are always coming up with new creations. Their prices are reasonable and the sushi meals always include Miso & Salad which many of the others do not. I go to Thia 9 but too expensive and they act like they are doing me a favor by serving me, too snobby by a long shot. The Sake locations are pretty good especially their 1/2 price sushi lunches. And BD Mongolian? Who got confused and thought that was Asian? It is American pretending to be Asian. Blah

Mr. Lee was already named best in Dayton in a real poll. It happens to be my favorite, followed by China Cottage!

I eat at the House of Thai in Beavercreek quite often and am NEVER disappointed! The food is delicious and the service fantastic! I try to order something different each time I visit and am delighted every time! They always greet me with a big smile and great food!

Diverse and unusual menu different from the typical Asian fare you find everywhere else around town. Owner is hospitable, welcoming, and makes a point of visiting you personally at your table. Food is ALWAYS excellent and fresh (or they won’t serve it). Try the Playboy Roll for a gastronomic treat as well as spectacular presentation. The daily featured rolls are always a good bet, too.

If you haven’t made it to Tsao’s, you’re missing out. However, one was left off the list; Tik’s Thai Express on Col Glenn, near WP Credit Union. Fabulous.

Incredible votes for Bahn Mai Thai cafe getting over 100 votes in one day. Unbelievable votes for China Cottage getting 50 votes in early morning hours of one day. Watch out!

Bahn Mai Thai is the best for gluten free Asian food…attention all afflicted with Celiac or gluten sensitivity…Bahn Mai Thai is very accomodating with gluten free dishes. The Thai fried rice is delicious! Definitely my favorite.

Congratulation to Bahn Mai Thai !!!! What kind of IP address spoofing did you use? Your scores went up abnormally and impossibly. Thank God!

Pho Mi is not on the list. It serves good Vietnamese food near the Dayton Mall.

Bahn Mai is dreadful and “reviews” their own restaurant for websites. Most of the top finishers in this poll are what my Chinese husband and half-Chinese teenaged son calls “Chinese food for white people.” In other words, not worth eating.
