First off most of dayton has been to Blairs shop and left siyying in the parking lot waiting for him to show up for their appointments for hours most leave & go elsewhere because he never shows up for ur appointment. second Glen scott is not a KING He’s a business man Money FIRST customers happiness last. ooo and when was the last time he did a tattoo himself. u pay for his experience and get a trainee or someone else with under 2 yrs experience. LETS BE SERIOUS WERE IT NOT FOR GLEN FRIESEN-STRETCH &GLEN SCOTT NONE OF THESE OTHER PEOPLE WOULD BE TATTOOING . THESE 3 DESERVE ALL THE PROPS, PATS ON THE BACK AND YOUR VOTES.

Lets B real were it NOT for Glen friesen / Stretch / or Glen scott there wouldn’t b anyone tattooing in dayton . These 3 led the way. set the trends in the area, made it EASY for every swinging a*****e to tattoo in the area. Tattooing now days is about GREED & ripping people off. these 3 deserve all the props, pats on the back and EVERYONES RESPECT! SCREW EVERYONE ELSE DOING TATTOOs IN THE AREA. They are a bunch of greedy assfarts. as for Glen scott being a king NO hes a business man MONEY FIRST your happiness last & Blair he NEVER SHOWS UP FOR HIS APPOINTMENTS FORCING CUSTOMERS TO SIT WAITING HOURS THEN GOING ELSEWHERE FOR TATTOOS. WHAT A JOKE….

I beleave Stretch deserves the title. He & his wife have always kept there prices where eveyone can afford a tattoo. they have always given free touch ups within 30 days. Talk to every customer nice & friendly. and they make the tattoo experience soooo pleasent. I got a tattoo from hin in1985 and no one will touch my skin but, stretch. thru the years his customers have turned their back on him going to home scratchers . when stretch has gone out of his way to give everyone low price top notch tattoos. stretch deserves the title. when u go there HE does your tattoo u get all his experience.

Stretchs Tattoo is by the best in dayton. Not only do u get the best art work but a very rememberable experience with the artist ( Stretch) and his lovely wife( Mrs. Stretch). The enviornment is very down to earth and not to metion both are hillarious. Love them both. I still have my very first tattoo that never needed touch up work or recolored and that was over 15 yrs ago. So Stretch’s tattoo is the best!!!

I’m sure there’s many tattoo studios that are great. But if ur too pricey, have a big head, start rumors, trash talk other tattooist, charge tattoo tax, etc…then that’s wrong & petty. The customers are what make a shop or artist by how satisfied and happy they are with there tattoo. I personally like friendliness, the environment, legal licensed tattoo shop, clean, sterile, & the great attention that I get when I get a tattoo because they don’t see me as a $ sign or Just another person. Tattooist & customers are like family. I say Stretch’s Tattoos in Dayton should get the vote. No need to trash talk, that’s high school BS. Stretch takes care of each and every customer with respect and keeps you happy & laughing!

Sorry, but if your main selling point on why I should visit a shop & get work done by an artist is “PRICE / $” then I’m simply not interested. You get what you pay for, and you’re wearing your work forever…that’s why I go to Peptide Tattoo. High quality work, and he certainly doesn’t take advantage of his customers. Matty McTatty is an amazing artist, and treats every customer with the respect they deserve.

I think this should simply be based on the quality of the work, coupled with the cleanliness of the shop. Safety first and foremost, and beyond that, quality. If you can’t spot a quality tattoo, or quality art maybe it’s time to educate yourself on a decision you’ll wear on your skin for the rest of your life. You look foolish with bad ink, people can’t see how cool the guy was that did it, or how much money you saved. They just see bad ink. In my opinion Peptide, and Mr. McTatty in particular are world class, he’s a tough man to compete against. Good luck to Peptide, and I’m sure they will continue in the true spirit of this art we call tattooing!

Oh well, we didn’t make it on the list again this year. I would not be able to pick one shop to vote for. There are too many good artists around for that. Honorable mentions: Matty McTatty, Brian Brenner, Rev. Chad Wells, Matt Klemmer, Kyle Cotterman, Myself - Josh Wiley, Caleb Relliford and many more. Good luck to all!!! I’ve only ever been to a few tattooshops. But Matty Mctatty’s shop by far gets my vote. he is not only a great artist, friendly and reputable, but a acharitable one as well. I don’t know of too many tattoo people donoting time or there own money to things that help others. Peptide has my vote.

I have only one choice…and its based on many factors. Matty McTatty from Peptide Tattoo. They not only set high standards for their tattooing, but are some of the most charitable folks in the business. I’m sure there must be more shops out there with wonderful artists & great customer service, but Peptide Tattoo Studio is truly the real deal & wonderful

Dayton has alot of excellent Tattoo shops. Great artist. The Best tattoo shop is the shop you choose to get your tattoo from..Votes don’t make a shop or artist any better than another shop or artist.. Its just a vote. My advice shop around ( the phone books full of tattoo shops ) find an artist you like an go for it… as for the tax thing I just defended myself.

I see so many bits and pieces of decent comments and so much crap. Yes you should check out several shops before you pick just one. You should think art before price and then work with whom you feel comfortable and most “artists” will be willing to work with you for the sake of a good piece. You should pay respect to the founders of the industry in the area but remember art is an evolving form, innovators are just as deserving of respect. I do want to point out Smart Bomb and Truth and Triumph are both under the same ownership (Brian Brenner). I own a tattoo studio (Totem Gallery in Xenia) and know from experience you can have the cleanest shop, the newest gear, but it is about your artists and the customers repertoire with them! Evey artist has their own flavor and your preference will reflect that. I love and respect several artists and shops listed and really don’t think I can pick just one though I really like the diversity of artists at Smart Bomb/Truth and Triumph! Good luck all!

I think everyone needs to grow up- this is a survey. Enjoy what Dayton has to offer. Everyone who has had a tattoo loves their artist & their work. Let’s give them all credit, for their individual styles, and ideas. I hope hope they all practice health safety & are licensed.

Never knew the tattoo biz was so cut-throat…can’t belive some of the stuff i’m reading here. Either way, I voted for Peptide Tattoo…because their work & shop vibe is fantastic. I went to few shops prior to getting my work done, and I decided to go with Damien because he made me feel comfortable with the process…several shops I went to made me feel like a “noob” or since I didnt have a ton of tattoo’s I wasn’t “cool enough” to receive good service or attention….you get the idea. Peptide!

By the way, I voted T&T, Lil’ Bri…love his shop, his work, his ethics and his attitude! Yes, it’s me MsStretch…and I didn’t vote for my Hubby. I don’t want to be prejudice and trash-talk like a child. Brian Brenner has always been cool with us, unlike ALL the other shops in Dayton.
