So where are The Fries, Stranger, This Side Up, or 5 Story Plunge? Of course, the results mean nothing when some of the biggest names aren’t even on the list, but Shadowlife for me, baby!

Best band I’ve ever seen in town is BLUE:30. Unbelievable sound from 2 instruments & 3 vocalists. Once again, it’s a pretty-boy contest.

Caught “Emily and the Lost Cat Ramblers” at Canal Street last Friday. They really rocked! Lots of original music, some well known songs, very interesting musical mix. Dynamite lead vocalist!

Where is Crazy Joe and the Mad River Outlaws or just Joe? I don’t think that anyone on this list has been featured in Guitar Player Magazine or Vintage Guitar like Joe. Oh well.

Whoever wrote this list did not include Mona or Needmore - two Dayton bands that are BLOWING UP right now. Mona is on a UK tour, and Needmore just released a single to NATIONAL radio. This contest should be taken down until research is conducted.

There is a new band to the scene that is kicking tail! “Sick Delicious” featuring Cassandra Silvers on vocals, Stevie (me) on lead guitar, (formerly The Paul David Bach Band) and the rest of the boys filling out drums, bass, and 2nd guitar. You all gotta hear Cassandra’s vocals!! She is poised to dominate the females around here!!! Lata!

Why isn’t the “Warehouse Sound Project” listed on the best entertainment for live bands in the Dayton area? They’re a great band and draw a crowd everytime they play! They will be at the Dayton Mall Frickers on Oct.22, and 23rd 2010.

People! It’s a fun poll, not American Idol. You don’t win anything but bragging rights! No record deal, no money, nothing.there are so many bands in Dayton that are not on the poll and are persuing real recognition by trying to land a deal. They could care less about this poll, so let’s not get too upset because your pals aren’t on here!!Lot’s of talent in this town and you’re only seeing about 30% of who’s out there. Have fun!!!!

Mercury Mouth did rock last night at Canal Street that’s a fact.. So many genres of music.. Not really a fair poll.. I mean The Jackalopes are freaking awesome and a lot of these other bands are also.. The Professors.. Emily and the Lost Cat Ramblers. I vote for everyone on the ballot..

Well, considering the guitar player had a bone marrow transplant this year, it kind of knocked us out of our rotation. But the three years prior, we averaged 130 shows a year. We just found out we were on here late last night so all we did was let our fans know via Facebook and emails. Thanks to all of the Higgins/Madewell fans who are voting. It mean so much to us to know you haven’t forgotten us. The last year has been very challenging.

There are a lot of excellent bands listed here. We go to see several of them as much as we can. Higgins Madewell have so MUCH more than unbelievable talent. When they play you feel as if they are playing just for you. This IS soul music. They are always quick to thank everyone & once again I must reiterate…NO… THANK YOU! No. 1 in our hearts!

One more thing. They do cover excellent songs..however it is their original music that we all wait to hear. They will fill your “love tank” & you will feel “like a stone” skipping across a quiet lake!! So glad to have you back Jeff! We love, Jimmy & Jason too!

just because your band didn’t make the list, don’t hate on the ones that did. Many hours of practice go into making a good band and it’s nice to see some of that effort recognized. Lots of bands weren’t on the list, but I also saw names I’ve never heard of, which is good advertising to listen to some of these other bands. Good luck to all
