How about a “None of the above, shop on the internet” option. We are in the 21st century.

Used to be Books & Co hands down, but when they sold to the chain, they went for appearance in a fancy store at the Greene and their selection has suffered.

Half Price Books has great employees who are actually learned in books. Books and Co is a terrible company who does not take care of its employees or its customers. The book selection is terrible, as well. It was much better before it was bought out.

Jay and Mary’s bookstore in Troy Ohio is always willing to do any special ordering and has an excellent selection. This is one of the very few independent book stores left in the area that doesn’t have a chain backing it.

Half Price Books is fantastic. The prices are incredible, everything is categorized perfectly and the store is very clean. Books & Co, Barnes & Noble and Borders have nothing on the Half Price’s discounted books! My husband goes here allll the time. Also, every once in a while you’ll get coupons for 20, 30 and even 40% off on certain days. Make sure you check out their bargain section too. You’re talking about $2 books here! You’re a sucker if you go to Books & Co. and buy a $25 book when you can find it at Half Price for $10 (hence the store name lol).

I would have voted for the used book store in the Troy square had it been on of the choices . It’s the best book store I have ever found !! I travel there several times a year for a bag of books

Books & Co. used to be amazing…now doing the Greene destroyed what lustre it had. Nice work Books & Co. You took a working model and got greedy. I used to love the autograph signings in the center of the store off stroop…now that has been eliminated and shoved to the side. Goodness, who’s in charge of that place anyways. I used to shop there a couple times a month, now i might got once a year.
