Holiday ‘story slamm’ set
The first in a planned “Story Slamm” series will be held from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, at Ghostlight Coffee, 1201 Wayne Ave., in Dayton’s South Park Historic District.
Hosts for “Twas the Night Before … ” will be Gladgirl Shelly of CatEye Media and Shane Anderson of Ghostlight. The public is invited to participate or just enjoy the stories, in this case, true-life holiday stories “told in the tradition of a national story-telling program called ‘The Moth.’ ” All ages are welcome. Admission is free.
The story has to be true and have happened to the teller, no notes can be used in the telling, which should be in conversational style, and time limit is 10 minutes. A panel of three judges or audience votes will decide the most unique story.

I MISS THE STORYS MY DAD WOULD SAY TO ME AND MY 2 BROTHERS AND MY SISTER.WHEN WE WERE YOUNGER.TEARS FILL MY EYES WHEN I TELL STORYS TO MY KIDS THAT MY DAD DID A FEW YEARS BACK.MY DADS GONE NOW.BUT HES STORYS WILL LIVE FOREVER IN MY HEART.LOVE AND MISS YOU DAD.LOVE YOUR SON DODGE.
