Michael Jackson show coming to Nutter
Cirque du Soleil’s touring spectacle “Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour” is coming to Wright State University’s Nutter Center in Fairborn for a single performance June 6, 2012.
Written and directed by Jamie King and produced in partnership with the Jackson estate, the production combines visuals, dance, music and fantasy. Jackson’s songs are the core. It includes a cast of 60.
Although the show is more than a year away, ticket go on sale this week. Prices range from $50-$250.
Advance sales begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, for Cirque Club members only at www.cirqueclub.com. Sales to the general public begin at noon Saturday, March 12, at www.cirquedusoleil.com/MichaelJackson, www.ticketmaster.com, by phone at (800) 745-3000, or in person at the Nutter Center box office from noon to 4 p.m. Prices are $50-$250.
According to the producers, the show takes place in “a fantastical realm where we discover Michael’s inspirational Giving Tree — the wellspring of his creativity. The secrets of Michael’s inner world are unlocked — his love of music and dance, fairy tale and magic, and the fragile beauty of nature.”
