Uriah Heep coming to Fraze

It will only cost $5 to see Uriah Heep when the rock band from England plays at Fraze Pavilion at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 17.

That’s the general admission rate.

A limited number of special reserved seats in the first two rows, which include backstage privileges to meet the band, will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, for $35.

Named for a character in the Charles Dickens novel “David Copperfield,” Uriah Heep built its following starting in the 1970s.

Fraze Pavilion is located at 695 Lincoln Park Blvd. in Kettering. The ticket office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays, 10 to 4 on Saturdays and 10 to 2 on Sundays. For more information, go to www.fraze.com.

We saw them in concert in California as post teens in the 70’s and the cost of a ticket was about $10.00. They still work cheep.

I was at Wittenberg University about 1972 and we drove over to Miami University to see 3-Dog Night in concert. But the opening act was this hard-rocking band called Uriah Heep! They were awesome and I became an instant fan. It’s been ‘Easy Livin’ ever since!

I hate to rain on the parade, but, how many of the original members are still in the band? That makes a big difference.

I have been a fan since 1971 and saw them Friday at Fraze. They still can rock with the best of them original members or not. Mick Box was simply awesome and their singer and their harmonies were better than ever. Thank you so much Fraze for having such a legendary British band come to play for us old Heepsters. Please bring them back again soon. As Mick would say “Appy Days Mate” Great concert !
