Museum Day tickets available
Several museums and cultural organizations in the area and region will participate in “Smithsonian” magazine’s sixth annual national Museum Day Sept. 25. They will open their doors free of charge that day to holders of a ticket that can be downloaded at the website www.smithsonian.com/museumday.
Museum Day 2009 attracted more than 300,000 people to 1,300 locations across the country.
Local and area participants include: Carillon Historical Park and the U.S. Air Force Museum, Dayton; the Garst Museum and Annie Oakley Center, Greenville; the Cincinnati Art Museum, the Fire Museum of Greater Cincinnati, the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, Cincinnati; Columbus Museum of Art, the Ohio Historical Center, Columbus; the Wexner Center, Columbus; the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Canton, and several others.
The ticket (limited to one per household) provides free admission to one person, plus a guest. For more information, or a complete list of museums, go to the museum day website.

Some of those museums, like the air force museum and the cincy museum of art on saturdays are already free. But most aren’t. We do have some great museums throughout the state. Check out Marion’s popcorn museum, and crunch it!
