Counselors, credit unions helping troubled homeowners

DAYTON — Mortgage experts will field questions during a call-in program Tuesday, Oct. 14 from homeowners who have fallen behind in their mortgage payments or are worried about doing so.
Homeowners will have access to confidential assistance regarding foreclosure prevention during the program, which runs from 5 to 8 p.m., according to a news release.
The event is being sponsored by the HomeOwnership Center of Greater Dayton and 10 area credit unions. Participating institutions include: Affinia Federal Credit Union, Code Credit Union, Day Air Credit Union, DayMet Credit Union, First Day Financial, Incenta Federal Credit Union, Montgomery County Credit Union, River Valley Credit Union, Universal 1 Credit Union and Wright-Patt Credit Union.
