Consider banks for start-up funds
As a small business owner, your most difficult task is finding money to maintain and grow your business. Here's what you need to be prepared:
- A good credit score. Just as with any other loan you apply for, your credit history speaks volumes about your credibility, and in this case, that of your business.
- Create a business proposal. You should include:
- Your sources and uses of income.
- Industry and market research.
- Revenue.
- Decide how much money to ask for. Create a detailed 12- to 24-month forecast of sales, income and expenses and use those numbers to determine a range to ask for.
