The Associated Press

CHARLESTON, W.Va. —

A training seminar for people wanting to become entry-level production assistants in the film industry is set for this summer in Huntington.

The West Virginia Film Office will hold the seminar June 22 and 23 at Trifecta Productions in Huntington.

The Charleston Daily Mail (http://bit.ly/10jcq7t) reports skills training will be provided by the Los Angeles-based Production Assistant Training Seminar.

Film Office director Pam Haynes says participants will get hands-on orientation and knowledge on a variety of topics, including movie set etiquette and procedures.

West Virginia residents who complete the training will be eligible for listing in the film office's online Crew and Vendor Directory.

Registration is $25 for high school seniors, college students and directory members.

The public can register for $35. After June 7 that cost increases to $45.
